Just wanted to ask if someone had tried this and if it looked/felt good in the long run, without any imbalance?

If you get something soft and squishy like a gunny it should work... I had a 24mm gunny that I could fit to smaller lugged watches.

I've tried it and IMO it doesn't look right.

I find once you squish a strap into a smaller watch it doesn’t want to bounce back so easily.
squeezing a 21mm strap onto a 20mm watch, when you go to fit it back to the 21mm it has tiny gaps, more like a 20.5 size.

At least in my experience.

If I have a 26 and want to put it on 24 I shave the sides down. It works, but looks like crap as well.

I've found that 26mm straps fit just fine on 44/45mm Radiomir, if that helps.

And that's exactly why 27mm straps look best on a 47mm rad. ;)
