I've always had a rule with gens, to buy on the steel if it has it because I usually have to buy a custom XL leather strap anyway, but yeah, I was a little shocked. I couldn't believe what I was seeing in pics would be so bad, but it's even worse! So thin and a mirror finish - isn't this the ultimate pilot watch?!? What kind of pilot is going to wear a goddamn reflecting disco ball around their wrist? That said, the watch itself is every bit as beautiful as expected, best Nav ever made imho, so I guess I'll save a grand, get it on leather and get one of those Milanese aftermarkets if I want steel. This movement is very special and worth it to me, otherwise I usually agree with you.
