Wouldn't waste my hard earned cash - it's not as if membership grants you any privileges, other than being able to boast, and annoy everyone around you! I can only add that I've had plenty of highly educated and very intelligent friends who have, for one reason or another, ended up doing 'lowly' jobs at some point in their lives. Indeed, some of them have enjoyed these jobs so much, they've not felt the need to progress to better jobs.
