That actually looks fantastic. Wasn't really a fan of the Rainbow editions, but that is pretty cool.

How's the coating? Does it feel like it'll hold up?

Thickest coating I've ever seen, almost like you could feel the coating, hard to describe but picture a heavy coating of material on climbing crimp holds for example. The clasp is held very securely by two ceramic ball bearing, they scratch the coating each time you open and close and so far it has barely made a mark in the coating.

This rainbow is certainly the most discreet if you are unsure of being comfy wearing it, it's also as far as I can see the best gradient of stone there is, all other regular rainbow are more mismatched (I have another regular White gold version one, so I can compare)

I like the climbing jargon, you're speaking my language ;).

Thanks for the info, I was concerned about the coating scratching easily and showing silver through but sound like it's pretty tough.

Now I'm torn between copying you with the Daytona, or the Blaken hulk sub.

Check factories, I can only talk for this particular one, another Blaken model from another factory might not be the exact same type of coating. This is the OXF factory

Yeah, I saw they are from different factories. I'll do some research. Kind of digging the rainbow though.

Those Blaken serie won't be available for a long period of time IMO so better get what you like as soon as possible

Hiya, Group!

Today's ride is from The Gate, which was ordered last November 11, 2000 and finally arrived yesterday. This has been the longest wait I've ever experienced from them; but as the seller explained to me, shipping was affected by the chaos caused by the world wide Pandemic, then the affect of the Christmas/New Year's holidays. The assured me it was in route & to be patient, which I knew. The watch is an OMEGA SEA MASTER AMERICA'S CUP automatic on sailcloth (?) strap. Great dial detail, solid case and comfy strap. I'll be wearing this for a few days. In the face of the Pandemic, we have to be patient. dave:

Nice looking Seamaster though - well worth the 21 year wait I’d say Dave! :D
