Vostok 090 sandwich dial mod.

Just a quick post to show of an 090 case Vostok mod that I just finished. Base watch was an 090 Scuba Dude from Soviet Market £50 and a sandwich dial and paddle hands from Vostok 24 total cost £30 and the bezel was £12 from Meranom. The strap is and old ammo strap from my box of bits. I could have probably bought the stuff from the same site but I got it in dribs and drabs.

Wow! That's a really nice mod!

I was thinking of modding the amphibia, it seems to be a good starter for a beginner. Lots of good options for a very low price (comparing to e.g. Seiko skx) parts.

Is that a ceramic bezel insert or polished metal? Looks kind of differently depending on the photo.

Yes, its a ceramic. These are lovely to mod. Ive destroyed numerous Seikos and reps while attempting mods, but these seem indestructible and the second hand just pops on with minimal fuss. There are a couple of little quirks, but nothing that can't be solved by watching a YouTube video.
