Final re-alignment of the dial...

@Buddhabar, my other gmt hand looks the same as yours. Is that more correct with the smaller orange border, or should it be thicker like mine?

gens I have seen look quite thick...

Gen for reference...

Yes i agree.

If you can replace it you would have a better result.

The one you have mounted looks a lot like the moderate line of the Explorer II ref. 216570 (Thicker edges).

Here I am @Simonix .... sorry for the delay.
I'm not presumptuous or picky enough to see other people's imperfections. Since I started attending the field of replicas, my goal was to reach a beautiful 1655. I have always analyzed it in detail to understand its variations. In yours (which in my opinion is a really good job) I just wanted to point out that the second hand does not reflect the genuine one. That GMT, on the other hand, you did a good job. Even mine like yours has very "pointed" hands compared to those of a genuine 1655; sooner or later they should be replaced (not the GMT one).

Then, in yours, the date wheel does not convince me for the font and should be aged a little, giving a yellowing patina.
I hope you understood me, what I meant. Unfortunately I have to translate with Google translate.

Thanks. All duly noted.
I have this in the post, this will help...

Here is my other GMT hand.

SIMONIX....Definitely fairer for a high-level build 1655.

Where the hell do I buy a clarks crystal? Read about him all over the forums, but no one ever says where to buy from?

Very nice work!  The 1655 is my favorite vintage Rolex.

Any plans for a bezel swap?  Not sure what it take to get a viet bezel to fit. But for me the pointy 4’s stand out way more than some the dial/hand details.

WSO....? Where and how do I buy?

im new to all this rolex modding.... haha

To be honest, this was meant to be a low cost bit of fun, looks like it’s turning into a can of worms!? Haha.

Got a better bracelet in the way as well... the folded link one that came with it is pants!

think I will fit the new dwo, the other gmt hand, and bracelet, then call it a day.

Wow!
f**kin how much?! Nearly as much as the whole watch?!

Haha I know man! It was the most expensive piece of the watch. All said and done it was still cheaper than a decent Viet build but way more exclusive than any other 1655 rep.

Nice project

I also will start a 1655 soon

If mochacha is eBay seller ostrich I saw that have two batch of this dial one with a mistake the word Date attached to L of perpetual and another dial with correct space between the two word .

Seem he sent randomly the dial ..

I noticed same word dial mistake on Bi-vintage the Vietnam seller .

See link below

Now I need to have a word to myself about whether to get a new Clark plexi and flat 4 bezel....

What a pity that raffle gmt is too short ..also the tiger is too short .

Maybe phong or mq have correct gmt hand for eta..I only know that phong have nice hands for sub..

When I will have the BP watch I will try to modify the stock gmt hand

I must admit, I think I prefer the stock BP hand that I repainted orange. As seen in my earlier posts.

why don't you try to file down the stock gmt hand ?

i mean reduce the hand before attached to the triangle and than reduce the point of the hand.. like pic below
