Does the retirement mean you're done with CLE now?

The opposite. Left Florida and moved back to The Land! :D

Wowzers, congratulations BD, on the retirement and the wife! Is she going to let you keep your Balls too?

Sorry , couldn't resist.

Spectacular piece, wear it in good health my friend.

He gave those to her for safekeeping on their honeymoon.....................

Hasn't seen them since.

Well..........except for the occasional wristie here on RWG  :analprobe:

@BravoDelta   all jokes aside, Congratulations on the lovely watch to mark a true milestone.

PS: Does your wife happen to have a sister?

PPS: Asking for a friend.

Nice!

I love this place, but my wife is from Texas and I think she may try to strong arm me back down there once we get older.  I hate the heat not to mention half of the state looks like someone planted paddle cacti on the moon.

Fantastic BD! I saw this in the gen wristies and wondered if you made a mistake - no mistake indeed! Congratulations on retirement, your wonderful wife and this gem of a watch - we'll be sorry to see you go when you switch to the Rolex forums :D

I look forward to a side by side gen/rep review (I have the ARF if you want to borrow it).

Cheers my friend!

Is it too early in the relationship to say “she is a keeper” but mate- she is a keeper. What a fantastic gift, well done mate

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.

May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.

May the hand of a friend always be near you.

And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Congratulations on your retirement and your lovely gift!

To be fair, if she hadn't spunked all that money on Gen, he could have retired a bit earlier....

I think you'd be quite refreshing on the Rolex Forums, randomly posting reps and gens, getting 'em all riled up while you remain the calm and collected BD we all know and love.

Are you going to tell us how she sourced it, or is that a secret she's chosen to keep even from you? I've always wondered about this whole "you can't get one even if you wanted to" and then Chrono24 is swimming with new Rolex sport models, many from authorized dealers, is that a bait and switch or what?

I do know that it was purchased from a reputable reseller and not chrono24. She's not one to be trifled with when negotiating.  It's retailers  beware when the Missus goes shopping!

I would expect nothing less of Mrs. Delta, I hope the poor fella she haggled it from recoups his losses sometime soon :D

As for Chrono24, you can get some pretty good deals on there if you buy the seller, but I would steer clear of anything on the magnitude of your SD43 other than perhaps sourcing a respected dealer and then purchasing directly.

@BravoDelta This post has made me do a strange thing. Buy a Rolex. Ordered a Blue Pelagos off Mary but turns out not in stock so have quickly switched it to ARF v4 of this beauty. It is the only Rolex I would be happy with so rather than rack my brains it became a no brainer.

Congrats on the new piece and retirement. It's quite a job procuring a Rolex professional SS watch nowadays.

Good job!
