Milsib rep advice/pointers

Recommended Posts

Had this for a while.... I just always feel that it needs a bit more love and attention (there’s a song in that).. I can obviously buy all the nato straps in the world and it still won’t change my feeling really.  Any pointers or advice?  I have an oven and can brew shots of tea & coffee,,,, I love acetone

Personally, I like them clean and think it looks great.

Don't use acetone anywhere near that dial, it will strip the paint and print straight off.

You can shoot the dial l with some lacquer to give it a more matte / aged feel.

matte lacquer, although I've used gloss too, spray it on in light coats. For me, the trick is to start with a good spray mist off the piece and then move the spray over it. Don't aim the can right at the piece and hit the button.

A difficult to build to get right on a budget. My recipe below:

Cartel midcase and back

WSO bezel assembly

Yuki hand set

Ingod44 dial

Crownartcustoms insert

Gen T19 service crystal

Athaya 702 crown and tube

ETA 2846 movement

Case reshaped. Dial aged then sprayed with a light coating of matt varnish. Hands lumed and aged to match.
