dave47 6,553 Posted April 16, 2021 Hello, Folks! Today is Pamsday, so you know what that means... . Today features that attractive-but-troublesome PAM 111 on rubber I've had for a while, A manual (wind up) watch, it has trouble generation enough power to run through the day and evening. I'll give it about 90 + less-than-full winds & it runs for a few hours, then stops; it's not unusual for me to have to take it off several times a day to rewind it. Tomorrow I'm taking it in to one of my local watch smiths to have it checked out. dave:

My heritage diver is 43, and looks smaller, and I am sure I am not as large as you. Optics is a funny business...
Pesman 9,461 Posted April 16, 2021 Meaning? Meaning the usual quandary for lesser worn models...do I like it enough to keep it and accept it is just nice to have around - especially as it is a less common one - or do I flip it and continue to feed the habit...as selling and reducing never seems to be an option! I decided on the former....for now...Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk

Pesman 9,461 Posted April 16, 2021 Another rarely worn keeper to celebrateBadApple latest pick up ... and it's on a gen strap so he will approve! My oldest surviving rep from 2013 - long before I cared about factories but I'm sure Mary sourced it ...probably ZF IWC Top Gun ceramic 7750 layout... Still chugs along merrily thanks to a Rolie service a couple of years ago...43mm but wears a bit smaller... Strap is lovely... Pesman 9,461 Posted April 16, 2021 OK...I need feedback...this has just arrived as I couldn't resist it when I saw it on eBay as I do love a G-Shock - especially the metal and a bracelet...Can a 55yr old man carry this off? The missus has approved it - which is both a suprise and a plus - I just need reassurance that my forearms are still manly enough...This is the MT-G GS1000BD5A in black and rose gold...was around $1000 on release in 2015 and led the range for a bit...Obviously none of the functions will ever be used but it will look great round the pool...one day...!Be kind, be cruel but be honest!!Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk

Btw, if by any chance you will decide to go with the King Samurai dial, I would be happy to buy the King Turtle one ;). you can get that dial (in fact both of them) direct from cousins, do you want the part number? keep in mind these are proper seiko dials and the cost compared to aftermarket is noticeable, but so is the quality of the dial and lume over the aftermarket offerings
