and finally a Rolex 5514 gifted to me by @Pseudonym with a varied history of ownership on the forum (for those who remember StormyNight).

DC

That name makes its way onto the board at least once a year

@CurioLeo I’m afraid neither of them do anything for me, far too 70’s for my tastes!

And thats absolutely OK, just mentioned them as they are functionally similar to a PP chrono, seeing as that's where the discussion began.  About 2k for a pristine example as opposed to ...... ???? So it could be an appetiser while you work up to the real deal :D

Thanks buddy!

This is the watch I wear the least out of all of them, not because I don’t like it as much but because it’s in such pristine condition I feel obliged to keep it that way!

Honourable mention there Dave.

Ah the 5514. Glad to hear it still has a good home.
Like you I tried to go gen as far as possible. Few bits in the box these days still hanging on. Re-bought the 16800 Franken I had built as I’m somehow sentimental about it.

Sadly time poor at the best of times, never mid for social media these days.

Hope all is well with the family.

Cheers
