Exactly mate.  Guessing it won't be cheap either.

They could have done something though with the edge of the cog just showing between his legs.  It looks like he's burst his suit and his pubes are hanging out!

There is probably a lot of great workmanship etc. in it, but when you create something as nice as the 15400/15500 you would expect something a bit prettier.

I thought the same thing that it had a passing resemblance to a RM.  Although have you seen the new Hublots?  They are a total RM rip off!

I agree. All of the high-end brands put lots of craftsmanship into their pieces. The rest comes down to personal preferences I guess. What I mean when I call RM ridiculous is their general aesthetics. Personally, I appreciate elegance and simplicity in design and watches like RM, AP RO Offshore, Hublot Big Bang / Sang Bleu are just way too freaky.

Now, about Hublot, for a long time, the only line I honestly do like is Classic Fusion.

I've watched videos on the making of Patek Philippe watches and that is true old school watchmaking, so guessing the craftsmanship that goes into a RM must be phenomenal, unless it's mainly done by machine.  Although considering the prices they sell for I would expect it to be something special, but as you say the look of them has a lot to be desired.  Saying that I do fancy trying one to see what its like, and seen on Puretime site this morning a new RM055 Yas Marina edition which I am strangely drawn to, but I doubt I'd pay $698 for something I can't tell the time on let alone over $200,000 for one!

I'm just not a Hublot fan at all.  I don't think there is anything in their line up that I would consider.

I used to be slightly curious about how do they wear, but realistically, I am WAY more likely to spend +/- $700 on Noob's Daytona than RM. Especially that there is a 99,99% of probability that the Daytona would be a keeper and RM would end up on M2M sales within a week or two.

In terms of craftsmanship, I was always extremely impressed by A. Lange, and personally, I think there are very few (if any) houses able to outperform them in this regard

Have you ever seen for example the 1815 tourbillon handwerkskunst ? This thing is mind-bending. Watchfinder released very interesting footage about it. And yes, even though it's limited to 30 pieces, with a price tag of +/- $186k it is still cheaper than RM (!). Unbelievable....

Yeah boiiiiiii!!!!!! That's how I roll.

If you're not a stickler for accuracy though, mine was only something like $300 and it's a decent job (the RWIheads will obviously tear it apart, but for mere mortals, it's a good Rep).

$400. My bad. https://puretimewatch.io/rm055-yas-marina-circuit-forge-carbon-titanium-case-kvf-best-edition-skeleton-dial-on-white-rubber-strap-miyota8215-v2.html

Gen RM is the comfiest most natural watch on the wrist I've had the pleasure of trying on.

The attention to detail, the finish and indeed the mix for materials used is art.

Totally agree with you.  I would rather buy a Noob Daytona which would be a keeper than spend a similar amount on a RM only for me not to like it or the notion to wear off after a few weeks and then have to try and sell it on M2M.

Just watching that A. Lange movement is hypnotic :D

There is something about that I like.  Don't know if its the robin egg blue colour kinda reminds me of a Montauk.

This is the new ZF V3 version which looks pretty good RM055 "Yas Marina Circuit" Real NTPT ZF 1:1 Best Edition on White Rubber Strap NH05A V3 (puretimewatch.io) although the Yas Marina printing on the caseback of your version does look a lot sharper and neater than the dearer ZF.

Would just need the Ferrari to keep the persona alive mind you

Never had a RM in my hand before, although have heard they are super light and quite noisy.  The closest I've got to a gen RM is looking in their boutique window in Casino Square while in Monaco a couple of years ago.

@Chiquita Fanjita yeah I’ve never attempted to go into a RM boutique.... can see the doorman laughing on approach

Can’t say it was loud, but for its size indeed super light.

Remember always compliment clients on their watches!!! I could have fallen over when he offered to let me try it on.

I didn't try to get in either with my VRF bluesy, only had a look through the window   The Chanel boutique is next door, so while the wife had a look in there I checked out the RM window display then went for a wander around the streets following the route of the circuit.

What kind of client's do you have with that wear gen RM!  Do you sell superyachts

Those drive throughs aren't the widest and they have to be careful of their expensive wheels mind you, as my mate found out with his nice new Lambo.

Found a bit more info on this monstrosity.

Satin-brushed 42mm case, Black ceramic bezel, Caliber 2965, hand-wound mechanism with a flying tourbillon first released in the RO Concept Collection in 2018. It also has a sapphire-crystal caseback that shows off its titanium geometric bridges, the back of the tourbillon cage and part of its gear cage.

The watch costs $163,900 and is limited to just 250 examples.

Have you ever felt a watch has been limited to too high a production number ?!

If this ROBP were to come in a cereal, which would it be? Do they still put prizes amongst the sugar?

I think it would come in the Boo Berry:
