I bought the SBDX012 Dial/Hands/Rehaut from a Dutch Seiko Parts Supplier..... Added a Sapphire Crystal and I have my SBDX001/12 without the GOLD number bezel... didn't really like that anyway

Iv'e had a handful of SBDX variants up too and including the SBDX017 .. . love the monoblock case .. .. if memory serves me . ... .. the first SBDX001 I purchased may have been around 2002 or 2003 . .. . and I think I only paid around £700 for it used/second hand. But the prices these days are just mental . .. . . but as I am constantly reminded be the younger members of the family .. ... we are nearly two decades on . . .. . .. lol
dave47 6,545 Posted April 28, 2021 Hi, Gang! I was unable to post wristies on Monday and Tuesdays because of a medical "crisis" at home (everything's all right), so for Wednesday, a review of the watch I wanted to feature: this newly arrived INVICTA GRAND DIVER with a blue dial/bezel, purchased from a mate on eBay. It's a big watch @ 212 grams, 48mm in width (w. crown) and 13mm in depth. In spite of its size, it's a very comfortable watch w/ a fine NH35A 24 jeweled movement, and excellent lume. The INVICTA engraving on the watch's outer edge (and along with GRAND DIVER on the other side does not bother me. I have several INVICTAS and believe them to be a fine, well-made watch -- (at least the "normal" watches. People shouldn't be too afraid to purchase them... . dave:

dave47 6,545 Posted April 29, 2021 Hiya, Gang! I've been wanting to wear the massive ROLEX CHALLENGE DEEP SEA since I secured it in a sale from several years ago. Today, HUMPDAY, I thought: "What the hey!" and wore it. Being as massive as it is: 58mm x 17mm x 306grams -- I thought it'd been too big and too heavy. After wearing it since this afternoon -- complete with a two-mile walk -- it wasn't painful at all. Surprise! Surprise! I believe ROLEX did not market this, I'm glad the reppers did. I got a lot of strange looks while it was on the 'ole wrist. dave;
