Pesman how lumpy is the S500 ? Tried one on and it felt too big on my chicken wrist …. However there are some bargains on line just now and I am tempted- the build quality looks and feels really solid.

I think it wears small if anything but it is thick...I assume as its allegedly 1000m WR...my 70cm plunge pool was no real test. ..build is excellent but MB II may be a better option...

Just in fromk3rm87 in Aus...VSF Omega 300m

If only it was a gen, I might risk a swim! I see he has already wrestled it onto the rubber so will leave it there for now!!

Colurs are stunning in the flesh!

BadApple is a brave person.

I would never ever trust the waterproofiness of a rep that's come straight from China. If I really needed to wear a rep while swimming (I never will) then I'd get a forum watchsmith to do the necessary waterproofing and testing on it first.

Timpson is an agent for Rolex (I know - who'd have thunk it eh?) - you can take a Rolie to them to get it sent off for servicing, etc. That being the case, they won't touch a rep Rolie. Fortunately when I took Mrs. Pop's Sub caseback in to our local one to get it engraved for her birthday, I got away with it as it wasn't a "SHITINERAND" or "SWITZERLADN" version.

I’ve had pretty “good luck” with most “screw down” crown reps, I almost always wash a rep in the sink when it arrives and so far so good. I f’ed up with a Panerai rep this last week (I was told in the sales thread it was 50m waterproof, it wasn’t lol)

But pretty much anything Rolex, Omega, anything non-Chrono but with a screwdown crown I found I can swim with them straight out the box and they seem to be okay

There’s plenty I won’t swim in but most I do

Well so far anyway......
