The 7550 is to fat. And it’s not reliable, if I remember correct

Hi if you can skip on any daytona except noob there is some  videos comparing noob with gen on youtube, i had an arf before sold it off locally and found out the person also sold it again..

Arfs bracelets however are superb!

on the pics u can see a daytona ARF vs Gen ( look how they messed up the CGs) & (the pushers too)

Arf is on top

If you don't know what you're speaking about you'd better to remain silent...

ARF uses a 7750 (which per se is a good movement) with a specific modification used also into IWC portuguese which is INDEED reliable and makes it way thinner than the old crappy mods to move the secs at 6 (look at old Noob, BP and JF for these).

So you can go for it. The thickness difference with the gen is 0.5mm. But beware, in order to keep the movement thin, the subdials at 3 and 9 are not working. You still have the chrono, but the only part of the chrono that will do the job is the central chrono second hand.

I used to have an ARF Daytona, the latest version is very good.

Infact you can see many daytona build based on noob example whit ARF dial, ARF bezel and ARF clasp.

The full ARF bracelet is still better than Noob one.

The Noob one have a clone 4130 inside so it's thinner as gen and more accurate, but ARF still remain a very good rep.

Exactly

Out of curiosity and a bit off-topic - by any chance, do you know what is this specific modification applied to A7750 used in IWC Portuguieser Crono which makes it more reliable? Does it have anything to do with the positioning of the sub-dials, or is it a modification of the movement itself?

Save 300 clams and buy a U1, none of them work right and the dials are too small to read anyway.

A mod recommending a gen watch and not a rep? What has the world become :)

Will a CF insert fit onto an ARF 116500? I'm not too worried about chrono functions, more concerned on getting the closest to gen appearance.

No idea. But you're being too anal about that... It's something that only with a 10x lens you may see, and only if you've a gen next to compare...

Buy decent trainers then.

People either believe it’s real or fake based on the person, regardless of if it’s real or fake.

On that note, who does the best fake Golden Goose trainers?

I just picked up some Veja the other day. I'm so cool and young.
