opus9 0 Posted June 22, 2011 Its very difficult to describe.bout 6/8 weeks ago i bought myself the V5 DSSD with swiss ETA 2836.Its a lovely watch..however woke up this morning rubbed my eye and I heard a strange 'rattle' sound and the movement sounds like you can hear something may be loose ,also sounds very hollow like in you dropped ball bearing it 'bounces'. Its very difficult to describe. Its always been quiet prior to this. Its so hard to describe the sounds..but the fact I can now hear sounds makes me wonder whats up etc. I do not have the tool to remove the rear case..and even if I did,I would not know where to start...all you modders and repairers..let me know if you can help etc. Many thanks in advance, opus9
Waipio Jeff 0 Posted June 22, 2011 Sounds like a loose or fallen off rotor. Not a hard fix but don't let the watch run anymore to prevent any parts from falling into the springs and gears.

I bet you can open it if you take some Duct tape and makes a ball of it with the sticky side out, just press and turn, opens most backs which has not been very hard tightened. If it's just the rotor and the screw havn't damaged anything it is a very easy fix.
KeNnY 29 Posted June 22, 2011 I have 2 cases (one my Omega clone Eta and other Eiderdaus Clone Eta) where one of 2 screws that are holding automatic winding part of the movement, has unscrewed it self, and it was on the loose. So unscrew the back and take us picture.
cobn 0 Posted June 22, 2011 hmm... same "problem" occurs to me, but the watch still works perfect and keeps time. happend to my first asia-moved watches before. never done any problems. my gen ETA doesn't make funny noises like that. i think its the rotor winding a bit loudly.
