Chrismoose91 5 Posted October 19, 2021 Hello everyone, New to the rep world, albeit I picked up a £50 Thai special seamaster about 15 years ago which is still working. As much as I'd love a gen watch I'd only end up ruining it with my line of work, so rep it is. I've read the pinned posts for newbies so far and the world of reps is mesmerising, didn't realise the intricacy and wide variations there are. I'm aware of AAA and superclones on some Facebook groups I follow but have learnt these are misnomers.
Bbsee 469 Posted October 19, 2021 Hello and welcome to the hobby. Tighten your seatbelt (and your wallet), this is a more-ish sport . The key is to sell one/some, before buying more. Yeah the AAA catagorisation seems just to be a marketing technique - there isn't an FDA body approviding the quality of replica watches haha! Some factories make better reps of certain brands/models, but depending on your budget, you'll be able to ask a TD which maker he/she advises (within your price range).
