fatcat 0 Posted June 24, 2011 Hi all, I've just ordered a GMT with swiss eta 2846 from Mary and was considering an upgrade to a gen rolex (re)dial. Can anyone confirm if the date windows on the rolex dial are fully compatible with the 2846. I realise the dial feet will have to be removed and dots put in but I'm unsure about the window. Any help much appreciated.
Member X 91 Posted June 24, 2011 I would imagine that the dial is an easy swap. The rep is designed to look like the gen so I think the datewheel is the same position. I don't know for sure, though, I will wait for a Rolex expert to arrive in this thread! lol
DW-Watches 0 Posted June 24, 2011 The datewheel should be in the same position, that's why there is an overlay on the eta datewheel. Not sure about the dial size though, that's what I would be worried about.
fatcat 0 Posted June 24, 2011 Thanks guys. Dial size should not be a problem as I'm copying another build so hopefully ... ... ... We'll see
