ccrsvt 3 Posted December 22, 2021 I recently inherited two Omega Seamasters, as far as I know, they are from the 1940s-50s, they’ve been sitting in my fathers drawer for decades, they both work great. I’ll be taking them to a specialist to find a better value Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
fatarms 7,777 Posted December 23, 2021 I'd be interested to see what the watchmaker or AD says... The placement of the Omega letter on the dial of the larger one almost touches the word Omega. And the print on the dial almost looks like it was handwritten and poorly spaced. Also, when I look at the early Seamasters, the capital S looks to be more angular on the examples I'm seeing. It looks like the 1, 4 and 9 markers have been re-glued back onto the dial as well on the larger watch. Possibly also the reason for the placement of the Omega logo as well? Also the 12 markers on the large watch are not evenly spaced between the minute marks on either side, so they may also have been re-glued as well. I honestly don't mean to threadcrap, that is completely not my intention. I hope for your sake that they are genuine, but they do look a bit suspect.
ccrsvt 3 Posted December 23, 2021 That’s my reason for having them looked at by a professional. I’ll find out soon, I thank you for looking so close at them.
