alan d 81 Posted January 1, 2022 As crazy as it sounds, I hadn't intended to end up with this, but somehow did last week! I'd gone to the Boxing day sales with my girlfriend, who mistakenly left me unattended to walk round Goldsmiths. I HAD intentions of going in for a nosey at some of the Tudors they had on sale, online, but found myself, nose pressed against the window, staring at the titanium aquaracer they had in the window. About two years back, I'd gone to buy a white face aquaracer, but instead found myself going home with a Gulf F1, and somehow the same was happening again! I also got a free Mont Blanc pen to sweeten the deal! It's a delight to wear, very similar to the Breitling Aerospace in that you almost forget you are wearing it, being so light (60g less than a steel aquaracer), and it comes up to body temp incredibly quickly. The microadjust bracelet is fantastic, particularly in the current cold climate. When I come out of work in the club, my wrists almost shrink, having been roasting warm for hours on end, the adjuster allows you to tighten it with just a pinch. There is even a little invisible tape on the links which sit under it, to protect the satin finish. It has the loveliest dusky grey/gold finish, almost like its sand cast, but then you touch it to find it completely smooth. My only complaint, is how vanilla the box is, compared to my Gulf F1 box, but you can't have everything I guess. I'm terrible at wrist shots What really surprised me was the lume - I didnt expect the bezel to have lume: Here's a few, on a little 3d printed stand I made So far, i'm delighted with it, the power reserve claims seem to be just a little over exaggerated, but then that's an excuse for more wrist time. Happy new year everyone!
