HI, Gang!

It's good to be back after a 2.5 week vacation and such. I'm starting on an "off night" of my postings -- Saturday, but just couldn't wait to be back. I'm posting a watch I secured while on vacation and finally had a chance to show it off. Came from a mate on eBay: a Parnis diver, with a 45.5 diameter, 14mm thickness, and  approximately 137 grams. It's a miyota automatic with decent lume.  Nice pickup! dave:

  @Zakattack if it is the green watch posted by @judas9r … it looks like  a VOSTOK AMPHIBIA NEPTUNE 960896 Mechanical-Auto Water Proof 200m … not so easy to find stock of these Vostok SE models …. But, by coincidence…  …. as rare as they are to come by ….. just so happens I see one up for sale on the “bay” …. … :thumbsup2:

Hi @Redfire1066 & @Zakattack . The 960 version I have is still currently available to buy directly from the factory but they are limited so will sell out soon. The factory website is safe and secure, also the cheapest place to buy. However its a bit clunky. Here's the link

 https://online.vostokinc.com/katalog-tovarov/amfibija-2416-960897

There are three versions still available ; orange, green and teal. Mine is the teal. There is also a slightly cheaper non limited version on page 10 of the catalogue.

Picking between  2  'Super 41mm 12XXXX Sub Reps'- newly arrived Clean ND and VSD Starbucks.  Both excellent reps, no real competition for ND Sub, Clean so far only hi end version.

At the end of the day, to me, VSF remains the best I've seen.

@FunnyStarSystem    Nope I give up not a clue....come on :blink:tell us please.

A year or so ago I ordered a U1 216570 Polar off the Gate. When it arrived, despite having all the usual U1 packaging and quality, something seemed...off. Upon measuring I realized that somebody at the factory had created a hybrid, a 16570 40mm case and thus smaller diameter dial, but all the maxi dial features, and orange gmt hand of the 216570. Instead of returning it (covid returns to China? No thanks) I found it kind of charming that someone had gone to all that trouble, for whatever reason. I couldn't find it described on any of the other rep forums so as far as we know it's the only one in existence! Probably not, but until proven otherwise it is a museum worthy rarity :D

I disclosed its uniqueness when selling it, and the smaller size with more updated looks appealed to @processengr, so he has become its custodian ever since. After all, one does not "own" a watch of this rarity and importance, one simply looks after it for the next generation.:handjob:
