2021

I thought it would be fun to put my whole collection in one place so I can look back one day at the insanity.

Whenever I see peoples collections I always wonder which pieces they sold, so here is a quick list of stuff I sold in the last 18 months.

I'm sure I missed a few.

SOLD:

Helm Vanuatu Ti - Probably shouldn't have sold this but it didn't excite me, and it went to a close friend so it may not be the end here.

Zeloz Swordfish 42mm Ti meteroite dial - The meterorite seems cool but always reminded me of my parents faux wall painted dining room in the 90s, Also wasn't a huge fan of the yellow accents. I may look for a black sand swordfish or if i see a bronze swordfish in the future I'll probably jump on it.

Pam 351 - Wanted this for a very long time, then got one and was underwhelmed, brown dials apparently my thing.

VSF NTTD omega - rotor noise drove me nuts, I love titanium but this is almost too light and gave it a cheap feeling even though it looked excellent quality. Brown dial wasn't really my thing, can be tricky to find an awesome strap, bracelet was weird and uncomfortable and the end of it always caught its edge on the clasp when opening, drove me nuts.

Pam 111 noob - awesome lume, awesome quality, scratch and smudge magnet, too shiny, box queen, gone.

sugess panda chrono st19 - I want a hamilton intermatic panda but its too much $$$, this 38mm was too tiny, might buy a 42mm version one day.

Vsf planet ocean - had two, sold one, love these watches.

Tisell explorer - finally got a rep explorer, its way better

Smiths Everest - finally got a rep exploere, its way way better.

AP SS diver modded - box queen, not super comfortable, too heavy, too much money tied up in it.

Vintage Tudor snowflake - JK version not as good as my viet one, don't need two, bracelet too rattley.

]

Plans for 2022

Maybe consolidate, let go of a dozen and buy one of these in gen.

WANT:

Planet ocean 2201.50 w.2500 movement and alum insert.

I was about to look for one but found an awesome rep, so not sure it's worth it now.

Railmaster 39mm (early 2000s version)

I love these and worry they will go up in value before I get one. Don't have a proper rep of this, can't find one.

Tudor Ranger - If I didn't have a rep I would have bought this long ago, love this watch, wanted one for years after trying on a gen (and a north face) it's one of the watches that got me into watches.

Tudor Pelagos - love these. hard to justify gen when the rep is so good. but......

Grand seiko Quartz GMT SBGN003 - my favorite GS that I can afford.

Thanks NCrich. It has been a fun journey. Might be a little diver heavy, could probably use a dress watch soon.

Thanks for the kind words.

I had plans to take the black bezel and dial from the noob 42mm and swap onto the titanium one. Create a bond movie set clone of his actual watch. But the blue is really nice in the flesh, might leave as is.

Panerai1964

I have a 39mm Railmaster for sale purchased in 2012 ,I think I paid around $150 for it at that time. It has a DG2813 movement in it I believe.  I agree no one seems to be selling these at the moment. Drop me a line if you are interested and in the UK I would sell for £100 because its hardly been worn since I've had it.

Another year has ended and I am at 100 pieces. yikes.

It has been a one in out out for a few months now. Trying really hard to stay at/under 100.

Here is what I have SOLD

Pam243 - I think I only loved this because it is so desired among the community, but hardly wore it. Its a bit thick for 44 and I wasn't fond of the greenish lume. Sold to a good friend who gave it some proper wrist time

Breitling Bandit - On paper this watch is great for me, I love titanium in larger sizes, but it just wasn't exciting to reach for, the lug to lug is huge, like 57mm I think. it wore big and I just didn't bond with it. Sold to same good friend.

Gold daydate - bought to see what a gold daydate looked like, only wore a few times, meh.

Pam292 ceramic black seal - I had two and needed cash

49mm railmaster xxl - I finally got my dream 39mm railmaster so the others just don't get worn, sold to another friend with huge wrists.

Pam388 -SS black seal, bought because I was going to transfer the dial and movement into a 505 ceramic case, then found a 292 so sold this to someone who had a wtb.

Pepsi - Clean, bought to swap the insert to my vrf, or change models entirely, wasn't super impressed, sold and kept my vrf, which eventually got a clean insert anyways.

Planet ocean vsf 43,5mm orange bezel, too many planet ocean, the 43mm is a bit heavy and I already have an oreo I hardly wear.

Ranchero Omega - needed cash, sort of wish I had this back, but at the time I was into bigger newer watches and not small vintage stuff.

DLC fuck em sub - cheap, felt cheap, meh, would love to replace this with a DLC milgauss green crystal one day, like the one worn by that guy in jurassic park.

AP safari, this was my second one, it was beautiful, but I don't love thick heavy SS offshores, the movements are expensive and a pain to service, so I narrowed it down to my two favorites, the titanium chronopassion and the Sincere.

Aqua terra gold, needed cash and didn't need to modern aqua terra, so kept the green dial one which I adore.

omega moonwatch rep, I didn't wear this much, so traded for a ceramic DSOTM, which I also hardly wear anyways.

This is what I currently have, plus a rolex coke franken that just needs a viet or ebay case.

1-DSCF3407.jpg

AP 15703 JF V10, my second SS diver, this thing is a tank, and I wear this more now on bracelet than when the old one was on rubber. More balanced, less top heavy.
2-DSCF3410.jpg

Chronopassion by JF, Favorite ROO, nice and light, great lume.
3-DSCF3414.jpg

AP 15707 Ceramic Diver by JF, I love both the ceramic and carbon divers. This is a swimming watch.
4-DSCF3432.jpg

JF Sincere Tantalum. Tried selling this in a moment of weakness and I am very glad I still have it. Strap is Tango, Anthracite python. Love this strap!
5-DSCF3436.jpg

AP 15706 Carbon Diver, my favorite AP diver. on a gunny canvas, which looks cool but isn't super comfortable.
6-DSCF3440.jpg

AP survivor, quartz, I love how ridiculous thi swatch is. I wouldn't buy the expensive noob version but this $150 one is great for the price. The hands remind me of the rambo knife.
7-DSCF3449.jpg

AP royal oak quartz, I really should upgrade this to a ZF version but its so thin and comfy I haven't bothered.
8-DSCF3453.jpg

Patek 5711, I think this is BP, but with a better dial I swapped in. The bracelet isn't great, and finding links that look good to put this on leather is a pain, I gave up.
9-DSCF3462.jpg

New ZF pelagos was supposed to replace my old V6F, but I'm a hoarder and kept both. The V6F on rubber is for swimming.

The black one I sold and then missed and hunted down again, same watch. Glad I did.
10-DSCF3470.jpg

This Ranger was my grail watch years ago. I wanted to upgrade to a gen but never bothered, and now I have gone on to more rolex type stuff.
11-DSCF3480.jpg

BB58, ZF I think, This doesn't get the wrist time it deserves. I should wear this more.
12-DSCF3485.jpg

Tudor 7016 ebay/viet case. I have a love hate with this one. I think I went through three clark crystals and two bezels getting it to fit and turn correctly.

This watch is the reason I prefer sapphire. Tried selling once or twice and changed my mind. I wish this was a sapphire date 79090, was researching building one the other day but it's a lot of work.

This also ticks the box for a no date sub, so that's good.
13-DSCF3496.jpg

TUdor chrono quartz. Filler watch, To be replaced with a pelagos 39 when they rep it.
14-DSCF3497.jpg

Two tone rose Heritage 57'  - I thought a navitimer was my favorite brietling, but this has gotten the most wrist time of any breitling I have had.

Has a similar thin feel to my oris 65 but I love this WAY more. Super glad I found one.
15-DSCF3511.jpg

Chronomat 42 by GF, The plan is to one day disable the working seconds at 3 and raise the sunken date.

I want to give it a bunch of wrist time before I attempt that and bugger the whole watch in the process.

The black dial and green dial version are also very nice.
16-DSCF3514.jpg

Superocean Chrono, picked up a long time ago. Don't know much about it. It needs an insert replacement.
17-DSCF3520.jpg

BP a23322 Navitimer, my backup.
18-DSCF3526.jpg

Superocean, Gift from a very good friend. I think I put an ETA into it. Could use some gen hands, I mucked these ones up a bit.
19-DSCF3536.jpg

BP navitimer with 7753 and gen dial. Used to be a grail watch for me, but hardly wear it.

It's on a gen blancpain strap, I should change up the strap maybe and get some wrist time in.
20-DSCF3542.jpg

VSF 42mm 8500 Planet ocean. This got a lot wrist time early in the year but not lately.
21-DSCF3548.jpg

42mm Pumpkin 2500, built by K4jun, I added an ETA 2892, date change direction is correct, added a probably gen bezel, still rep insert.

Just bought a gen bracelet for it. Sa weet!
22-DSCF3559.jpg

VSF 43.5 Oreo, I should wear this more. Probably going to put it back on the bracelet.
23-DSCF3563.jpg

BP titanium planet ocean, I put this together so I can run around and pretend I'm James Bond.
24-DSCF3576.jpg

VSF Deep Black. More of a summer watch. I absolutely love this thing. So comfy.
25-DSCF3582.jpg

42mm LMPO, Don't wear it but it fills out my PO collection.
26-DSCF3587.jpg

42mm BP Also don't wear but makes a nice collection piece
27-DSCF3596.jpg

Looked forever for  a rep railmaster, finally landed this one, threw in a gen dial, Tango Python strap.
28-DSCF3608.jpg

Dhgate railmaster. I never wear this but can't seem to part with it either, Tracked down some guy on reddit that posted a photo years before and he was kind enough to sell it to me.
29-DSCF3625.jpg

VSF Aqua Terra. This watch far excedded my expectations. Not just the rep, but the aqua terra model in general.

Every time I wear this I just love it. Makes me want to sell everything and buy a gen.
30-DSCF3633.jpg

This was the base for my railmaster, now that I found one this was supposed to be sold but I love it too much.

I would love to buy a gen of this one day. What a great all around watch.

I also don't normally like blue but this blue dial is an exception.
31-DSCF3637.jpg

White seamaster, This is the ORF, I also had/have a VSF, the lume color on white dials always seems off, too green or yellow.

I don't wear this anymore as I prefer the ceramic titanium one. But can't bring myself to sell it either. It's now a swimmer.
32-DSCF3645.jpg

My second VSF V4 NTTD. Sold the last one because the rotor noise was horrid. Someone added a gen ETA to this and it is now freaking amazing.

I also couldn't seem to find a strap that I liked. The bracelet is uncomfortable, it feels odd and too small/light for the nato.

This NERO strap with the seamater buckle and long holes is just so amazing on this watch. Couldn't be happier.
33-DSCF3654.jpg

Like my aqua terras this doesn't get much wrist time. I think thats becasue I know I will never sell it so am not in a rush and spend more time with experimental pieces.

This also makes me want to sell off everything and buy a gen. I love the ceramic.  It's on the DSOTM strap in this pic.
34-DSCF3664.jpg

VSF spectre and the older miyota heritage 300. The trilogy omega set has/was my grail for a long time. These scratch the itch.
35-DSCF3667.jpg

Ceramic V2 DSOTM. Traded my moonwatch for this. I have only worn it twice, and now it isn't keeping good time, grrrr.

Needs a service, not sure what to do with it, It looks like a samsung galaxy. I do love ceramic though so will be keeping it I think.

37-DSCF3669.jpg

Finally found a rep FOIS. This is so much nicer to me than the OMF moonwatch. I love the lugs and hand set way more then the moonwatch.
38-DSCF3677.jpg

My gen 2254.50  This is my favorite omega. Absolutely love this watch. It's on the beautiful and horribly uncomfortable NTTD bracelet.
39-DSCF3684.jpg

Gen speedy. I wasn't wearing this much last year but it has gotten more wrist time lately. I love the red print on the dial and hate the stupid date window position.
40-DSCF3693.jpg

OMF speedy aka the hamburger. Was once a highly desired piece, and now, mostly due to its thickness it just sits.
41-DSCF3695.jpg

16600 BP seadweller

Another piece I hardly wear but when I do I just love it. I wonder what  a gen costs? I would look it up but don't want to crush the dream of ever buying one.
42-DSCF3699.jpg

Noob SD4K For a long time I only had/wanted this because it was hard to find. Almost traded it off a few times, Glad I didn't it had gotten more use lately.
43-DSCF3702.jpg

ARF SD43. Lots of good memories with this one. Most comfortable bracelet.  A bit big, but nice if you wanna feel big and fancy.
44-DSCF3706.jpg

BP explorer II This was supposed to be sold when I finished my black dial franken but I can't seem to part with it.

If I ever want a polar dial franken I know I will wish I had kept it for even just the dial.
45-DSCF3708.jpg

216570 JF This got a bunch of wrist time before I found the 40mm versions.
46-DSCF3712.jpg

16570 Ebay case, gen dial, hands, bezel, crown, tube. Ginault bracelet, crystal.

I would love to own a gen of this one day but this rep is so good I am not sure I will ever bother.
47-DSCF3720.jpg

214270 39mm BP case, ETA 2824, BP hands, gen dial, crown, tube. ARF bracelet.

This was a grail piece for maybe 20 years. I just love it.

It is my go to when I want to wear something nice quickly that clicks on my wrist in two seconds and is so light and comfy I forget its even on.
48-DSCF3724.jpg

The parnis I won in a youtube draw. So the Pagani is actually my daughters now.

I never wear mine but I love having it around to remind me why a daytona doesn't appeal to me and there is no  need to spend a grand on a better rep.
49-DSCF3726.jpg

This was also bought during a jubilee phase. Haven't worn it in ages. Isn't really worth selling as next year I will be into non dive watches and wish I had it.
50-DSCF3728.jpg

My grandpas watch, boy he sure knew how to look fancy.
51-DSCF3730.jpg

The VRF pepsi / CF insert, prof xtal that has been on the chopping block a dozen times.

I always assumed I didn't like the pepsi, but I have an app that tracks my collection and how often each gets worn and this is in the top 12 most worn pieces.

There is a good chance I love this and don't want to admit it. It isn't going anywhere.
52-DSCF3731.jpg

41m VSF sub. Another watch that I don't think about or get excited about, but when I look at my APP apparently I have worn this a bunch.

It's dreadfully boring and a smudge magnet. It will be interesting to see if it gets more/less use now that I have more 5 digit stuff.
53-DSCF3734.jpg

TC V5? Kermit.

This just might be my new favoroite watch of all time.

All the years I spent pretending to not like rolex and especially subs, either I have fallen for all the hype and am a lemming, or this is truly just an amazing, colorful, fun, comfortable, versatile watch.

I wish these were cheaper in gen, even if I sold all my stuff and bought a gen, I would probably be too nervous to wear it. Which is why I love this TC so much.
54-DSCF3737.jpg

Another new grail since falling down the rolex rabbit hole is a 16613LN (black)

Everyone loves the bluesy, I don't like blue. Green and black and gold for me thanks. (must be my irish speaking)

This gold sands ginault is getting a gen gold crown and once I have an extra 600 a WSO 18k bezel. 16613LN homage.

I just need to stop buying other watches first.

It is also getting a green/gold ginault insert and maybe a gold seconds hand.

Bracelet is WSO from a super amazing member here. Absolutely love the bracelet.
55-DSCF3738.jpg

This smurf ceramic ginault is keeping my coke insert safe until I can acquire another ebay or viet case for my coke build.

My TC kermit is getting a gen insert and then my old TC insert will end up on this watch as a wear at work/homage piece.

It might get a green milgauss lightning bolt seconds hand or a silver hand, not decided yet.
56-DSCF3739.jpg

My 5517. I haven't worn this in ages, this reminds me that plexi watches are cool and not to judge all vintage pieces as crap just because you had one fight with one special "snowflake"
57-DSCF3742.jpg

My old BP 16613LN, it was supposed to scratch the itch but it just made me want a better version even more.

I was supposed to sell this, but I know once I do I will want the dial and handset to put in the ginault when the homage thing gets boring.

The gen ETA inside is probably worth as much as I paid for the whole watch.
58-DSCF3747.jpg

My Titanium trio!

PAm040 with belkin dial

Pam177 noob

Pam176 Hfac???

59-DSCF3748.jpg

Pam 026 I think it's noob, I can't remember. Love this thing.
60-DSCF3751.jpg

Pam292 Ceramic. I love that it is ceramic and says black seal and I absolutely hate this lug system. Infuriating.
61-DSCF3753.jpg

Pam441 Ceramic bought from a good friend, he isn't getting it back. Ceramic baby!
62-DSCF3756.jpg

Pam 226, don't wear it but got it for too cheap to sell it.
63-DSCF3763.jpg

Pam1389 V6F? This thing is amazing. Titanium in 47mm wears really well. Love the blue seconds hand.

My first new to me rep. This model deserves more love from the pam people.
64-DSCF3765.jpg

As much as I hate big heavy watches this thing actually gets a decent amount if wrist time

KW???? on a DiStefano strap

I love wearing this on vacation. Love the green!

I keep meaning to upgrade to a VSF, but this one has spent enough time with me I know I will end up keeping both and I don't need two pam382
65-DSCF3767.jpg

Natas78 built Arktos bronze, I don't love blue, and hardly wear this, but can't seem to part with it either.
66-DSCF3770.jpg

Pam 187 7750

Again, it is suprising how fun it is to wear this big beast for a few hours around the house.

I would love to get it re lumed in a more tritium look.
67-DSCF3772.jpg

Pam064, missing cyclops. This one is fun to wear but I don't love the acrylic crystal.
68-DSCF3785.jpg

Big Pilot Heritage. Stupid crown always digging in. Put it on this etsy bumd which is super soft. I sort of wish I had the 43mm version in bronze but I do like titanium.

This was sold and then I had sellers remorse and re bought it back a year later.
69-DSCF3789.jpg

My first good rep! 3878 spitfire.

The bracelet has the coolest micro adjust. you push on the IWC logo. Very cool.
70-DSCF3793.jpg

Bronze Spitfire, from the one and only pesman.

Love the green and the bronze. I absolutely dispise the crooked date/day wheels.

I wonder if a ETA 7750 and better datewheel would upgrade this one day.
71-DSCF3796.jpg

The only B&R I like.

Hard to find these days, I am very lucky to have found one.
72-DSCF3797.jpg

Same as above, Longines big eye, hard to find. could use a cooler strap.
73-DSCF3798.jpg

Sinn U1 rep. I don't wear this since getting my gen 104, but don't want to sell it in case I sell the 104, it's on hot standby.
74-DSCF3800.jpg

Gen Sinn 104, I like this watch, but don't love it. Its my go to if I am around watch people/family and want to avoid watch conversation about spending too much on watches or replicas in general.
75-DSCF3806.jpg

Diver 65 rep. Everyone out there seems to love these diver 65, It's ok. the 21mm lugs are annoying. Some people think it's stupid to buy a rep of a watch thats only $1200, but I would never buy a gen of this model for 1200 so the rep does its job just fine of filling an Oris spot.
76-DSCF3807.jpg

Gift from my better half.

This is my way of being crazy and colorful. Now, back to black dial watches.
77-DSCF3808.jpg

Youtuber brand J&G. Picked up two, one for me and one for my son. He doesn't know yet.
78-DSCF3810.jpg

Crappy Pagain that I threw a seiko dial into. Probably will collect dust once my 16613 homage is done.
79-DSCF3812.jpg

Cheap quartz stuff
80-DSCF3813.jpg

Old bulova from when open hearts were cool.
81-DSCF3814.jpg

My main watch before I discovered watches.
82-DSCF3815.jpg

Addiesdive with swapped dial.
83-DSCF3816.jpg

Another addiesdive with swapped dial. Always wanted a green grenade seiko turtle.
84-DSCF3817.jpg

Another addiesdive that is getting a GS dial soon.
85-DSCF3818.jpg

Gen seiko 6309 7049 and a 7040 that needs work.
86-DSCF3819.jpg

seiko H558 Arnie
87-DSCF3820.jpg

Gold turtle, moodded a bunch. Reallly love this watch, great for vacation.
88-DSCF3821.jpg

SKX007, I never wear this, it's for my son in a few years, still all stock.

That strap is from sherpleatherwork on Etsy.

He was recommended by a friend.

Great guy to deal with, made to order. Super supple.

Goals for 2023

Complete the franken coke build

Complete the 16613 two tone homage, just need a bezel.

Watches I am interested in:

JLC polaris, I would like a JLC in the collection. Probably shouldn't have sold my noob navy seals but I didn't like the red/black plastic crown, and the bracelet never fit.

The polaris is maybe a bit boring, ZF made one with a date the date is white which looks odd. A no date is tricky to find. A moonphase is what I should probably be looking for.

Panerai SBF 44mm subs. They just came out and look really nice. I want the white or anthracite one. I had a spare slot saved for a 47mm carbotech but I think I will skip over that and go for a 44mm.

Panerai 569 47mm Ti with the hobnail dial has also always interested me.

Tudor pelagos 39mm, just waiting for the rep.

Blancpain. I saw that pesman had a Bathyscape and didn't think much of it at the time. I see they made a ceramic version and so that is pretty interesting.

Tag, the bamford aquaracer looks pretty cool. they hardly come up for sale and looks like the TD want around 460, not cheap.

Ploprof, way too big for me but it would be great to try one out.

AP 15202 to upgrade from my quartz one.

Patek Calatrava, 5226G by HKF/GRF, this is the sporty looking one with the textured dial and syringe hands. If I get another patek this would be the one.

The patek 6007a also looks nice, its the calatrava with the numerals and checkered centre section.

IWC portuguese, had one, sold it, sort of wish I had it back, white dial and blue hands.

Gens of interest:

Still eyeballing the Grand seiko SBGV245 in grey or 243 in black/yellow. Quartz, sporty, "affordable" GS.

Tudor North flag, drooled over one many years ago, it is still stuck in my mind.

Pelagos, what a cool watch.

Vintage omega, just started reading about gerald genta designing some of these, I love the pie pan style dial.

Rolex, what I should be doing at this point instead of buying more reps is saving up for a gen rolex.

Never had one, keep going in circles if it is better to sell a ton of reps and my speedy and get a Pelagos, explorer I or explorer II, every day I think about this and it isn't an easy decision.

I love all my reps and don't want to sell any. The only new rolex of interest is the new explorer II, I am apparently on the "waitlist" but if they call tomorrow I still don't know if I would sell off a bunch of my precious just to get one watch. Trying to not let the hype and FOMO steer my decisions.

The good news is I am starting to much prefer the 5 digit stuff and they don't have a waitlist and arn't going anywhere, so less of a rush decision there. Maybe better off waiting a few years before pulling the trigger. The older 40mm explorer wears better anyways and the 39mm explorer I fits me better than the new 36.

Having said that I was looking at IWC ingenieur (AMG ones, integrated strap style) the other day and they look very nice. Seems like I am a few steps behind pesman, he had one of these.

NCRich

Enjoyed looking through these.  Always good to see what someone else thinks of the various watches.  Thanks for taking the time.
