Pesman's updated collection - mostly gen's now

Hi all, with my recent rep offload and move to be more gen-centric I would, humbly, like to share the current collection post sale and consolidation.

With both gen and rep I have aimed to focus on reduction and watches I know I will want to wear (rather than ones I think look good). As such, some difficult decisions have been made but the continual tuning of the collection remains very rewarding. As an example, the Tag Monaco Gulf has gone. Cool as it looked I just couldn't get into a square watch so it made way for the Bremont Griffin - which, whilst my 4th Bremont, rings all my post RAF bells and will get worn a lot...

Both gens and reps (more of which later) now fit into a box each (just) and whilst there are still grails being chased (Sinn Arktis II, Doxa C-Sub Caribbean) the overall collection feels very wearable. Costs range from £85 through to much more but all sit well together and all probably fall into 'tool' watch, there are no dress watches here - maybe teh Aqua Terra at a push. The lack of bracelets continues and many of the straps have been changed as that remains part of the fun.

I appreciate I am hugely fortunate to be able to own these...and welcome your thoughts or suggestions...

The Main Gen Box....

The green Breitling Warhawk looks really cool. How do you like the yellow hirsch strap, was thinking of trying one myself.
Do we get to see the rep box?

Great collection overall, it makes me want a bremont. Fav is the griffen. Looks brushed and well balanced.

Hirsch performance straps are great but getting expensive now. Rep box to follow waiting on a few returns fromSimonix who has done a grand job of selling them on Bremonts are great. Overpriced but over-engineered with a great marketing department! And most importantly...not repp'd

A few wristies of the survivors...

So...almost a year on and as I'm sat in bed recouping from my knee op, it seemed like a good time to assess how the collection has changed after a tough Summer...

Basically I had to offload nearly all of the gen's above to fund a summer of unemployment and ended up with a return to reps.

Whilst most sales kept the roof over our head until I found work again, the recent sale of one gen Breitling, selfishly, funded a rep re-stock. These are now very focused on Omega as these are far and away my favourite.

So the main rep box looks like this now...

63a48cdea96792787774f711ac2f253f.jpg

Dominated by PO's in a range of sizes, Seamaster 300s in a few different finishes, and a couple of further Bond treats. Three classic IWCs and a couple of Tags and Tudors and I think it's a pretty cool lot.

The rest will need to wait until I'm up and about...

Gen wise, all that have survived are the two Speedmaster, my original PO (1st gen), a couple of Bremonts and 3 CW's C65's.

Still way too many of course!
