Chiquita Fanjita 1,805 Posted June 29, 2011 How do you remove the case back on a DSSD? I've read that you need either a sticky ball or special DSSD opener. Is this true or is there another simple way of opening it up?

Amit 72 Posted June 29, 2011 or you can used duct tape thats been rolled into a ball
greg_r 84 Posted June 29, 2011 depends on how tightly it has been fitted. You might be able to twist it off with a ball of duct tape.
Chiquita Fanjita 1,805 Posted June 29, 2011 Cheers guys Think I'll just try find someone that can have a look at it for me as its a £200 Swiss rep and I don't want to damage it. Found a local watchsmith who might be able to deal with reps so might try him as Brightlight is out of action just now.
KeNnY 29 Posted June 29, 2011 I love swiss reps... they are really hard to find... duck tape will work for this "swiss" rep

Chiquita Fanjita 1,805 Posted June 29, 2011 (edited) Cheers, I'll see if I can get the back off and have a look. Heres my topic of the original problem http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...showtopic=16211 Edited June 29, 2011 by Aston
SteveA 309 Posted June 29, 2011 After reading this just tried mine which I thought was as tight as a frogs arse ,tried tape, ball etc then found the answer.Wear latex gloves it gives you much more of a grip and push down /round with your thumbs it should work.Gave my o ring a gentle greasing whilst I was at it(this sounds like it should be in Section 8,arse,ltape,ball,latex,grease,ring!) offshore 0 Posted June 29, 2011 Whilst you guys may get the backs off with assorted make shift removers, you will never get them back on and PROPERLY sealed! Improper sealing = water inside! Why would you risk a $200+ watch, for the sake of buying the proper die for $20.00? ::shakes head :: Then you CAN get these tighter than a nuns nasty!
