Just landed Submariner 114060 No Date (VSF)

It's the one from VSF. Quality is great, rotor is running very quietly and bezel clicks very smooth. Very happy with the quality from VSF!

I've not had a no date, but If I'm understanding you right you're asking if the date wheel is still on the movement and you can hear it flipping over at midnight, then I reckon yes. The factories wouldn't bother to go to all the effort of removing the date wheel etc. They just bosh a no date dial on the top of the normal movement. Why waste money having two separate movements, right?

When you pull the crown out is the date position first, pull it out to the second position to change the time?

Most top end factories now do a 3135 movement (date), and a 3132 movement (no date). Essentially 3132 is the same movement  as the 3135 without the date mechanism as per gen.
