Tudor 7016

Finally got back to working on this 7016. I have found working on this vintage piece is more frustrating than swapping parts on more modern pieces.
Didn’t want to give up on it yet though.

Athaya crown I swapped never screwed down quite flush, I thought I would have to countersink it more but turns out the stem was just a hair too long.

Bezel assembly was hard to turn, went through a few Clark’s crystal, learning how to fit them/crack them.

Even turned the old assembly down on a lathe. In the end I bought a new WSO setup and finally found time to sand it and the latest crystal down to get a good fit.

Bezel turns really nice now, just need to add an extra shim when I get home.
Next will be to read up on how to add a very light patina to the hands and dial and insert.
