Go vintage and franken.
36mm, gen dial, quality leather strap, eta movement.
In my opinion, this is the best way, if you want a datejust. Also, 36mm is soo much better.

Hi Corn Guy and welcome, I'm a newbie too so take your time and be patient.  I get the impression (and I completely understand why) that coming straight in with requests like yours can become very tiresome for the old hands here BUT it will pay in the long run to toe the line  as they have a wealth of experience to pass on, and pitfalls for you to avoid.  So do your due diligence, and also checkout the TD section.  As for your factory question I believe you can't go far wrong with 'Clean' factory.  It's also a good idea (good manners I think) to introduce yourself in the New Members/Introductions forum.
