fatarms 7,777 Posted September 15, 2022 I wouldn't know a rep from a gen and I've been around 10 years. What are the tells on this one?
CurioLeo 296 Posted September 15, 2022 Instant actually - look at the Swan neck regulator screw - the screw doesn't even touch the Swan neck device. Also the two screws that fix the device to the top plate aren't central - the left side of the screws are almost on the edge. Don't need a loupe or anything else in greater detail. Ahh ok, I missed the swan neck regulation screw not even touching the mechanism. Good catch. I would've never known to look at the two screws holding that device though. I learned something new about one of the oldest classic reps

For info, I would rather have my Noob 111 than a gen to be honest. It's looks just as good in my opinion, and I don't need to lose my head if it gets stolen, damaged, etc... Philiusmaximus 5,063 Posted October 5, 2022 Well the gen can be taken underwater without any brown underpants moments. Good luck doing that with a rep panerai

All to do QC variables when it comes to finish, very few are true V4 many are hobbled together with loads of different v’s parts and this is why you could buy a v4 for $200 or $350. some V4’s have bridges that are so sloppy it’s mad.
