Straps for JLC Master Compressor

Gentlemen, I can finally show you the result of the most difficult project.
I have previously made inset straps for other watch models and this is nothing out of the ordinary for me. But this particular strap is difficult to make because the top and bottom of the strap are made in a crease. And the plastic connectors that are inserted into this strap have an unusually elongated shape and fall under the stitching. The Gen strap is machine stitched and fully assembled in production, using sophisticated machinery. I had to do all this work by hand.
In order to make the edge bend, I had to bruise the entire perimeter of the leather piece with a knife 4 times for each strap. In the end, their total thickness should match the gen strap . All the work was done using a caliper. What made it a little easier was that the customer sent me a badly shabby old gen strap, from which the connectors were removed and all the necessary measurements were taken.
Here's a video of the watch with the gen strap

It's a donor

Here's my version of the strap

The same strap, but in Alcantara, was also made at the customer's request.

Even though it was a very difficult job, it was very exciting. It's like an accepted challenge and another small victory for me. I'm happy :)

Thank you for watching !

Wow, incredible craftsmanship and straps on a par if not better than JLC versions! :notworthy::Applause:

The kind of thing that makes you want to buy a watch because you like the strap :giggle:

I’ve gotta ask

I have a jlc ultra thin moonphase

I’ve been told it needs a 21 mm, but I assume <21 is good enough ?
Any idea where I could get my hands on a nice strap for it ?
