sirvans6 0 Posted February 9, 2023 Hi Guys, A quick question, do any of you have experience buying a "gold" wrapped rep from one of the TD's? im curious as I am looking at a Calatrava from TT and I don't know if it is worth it, but wanted to hear if there is any opinion regarding shine, scratches etc. Thank you in advance. tribefan 6,768 Posted February 9, 2023 It's really just thicker plating. It should wear more slowly over time, but you are still one good ding or scratch away from the sliver showing through. It's really up to you based on how much you will wear it and how hard you are on watches. I have a regular gold plated JLC that looks fab, but I've worn in 3 times in the last 6 months, so I am really not worried about wear and tear. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
