SeanusMaximus 0 Posted July 7, 2011 I was just on the phone to my local horologist Andy who services my Omega's, and as per usual we got involved in a nerdy conversation - and then he mentioned his latests fetish that I must confess I had never heard of... Doxa? Apparently they made diving watches in the 60's and 70's, came in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours - and I must admit they look quite good! Anyway... for those that have and have not heard of Doxa, check them out amongst this rather impressive collection of dive watches... curtosy of Google, enjoy! Anyway... for those that have and have not heard of Doxa, check them out amongst this rather impressive collection of dive watches... curtosy of Google, enjoy! As retired US Navy (NEC 5326), we favored the DOXA as the original best of breed diving watch around, they were standard issue when I was enlisted. Later MTM and a few other companies stared to land special warfare contracts with the USN. I will always hold my DOXA in the highest regards, Ever heard the old "Timex" saying "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking" ? That describes a DOXA dive watch all the way, except it could take more than a licking. Great watch, still are. If I dive in anything over 30-40 feet I use my DOXA, even though my gen Sea Dweller is a great watch, I've had too many dives with my DOXA to ever give it up. Cheers, Peter
