1880!

Hi,

This is a vintage Patek Philipe from 1880 that has recently been serviced and re-cased, making it 143 years old!

Any ideas of what it could be worth?57ef54f54a2bb3e1cf151a0b23f98f16.jpgbf96800fbc5187e0f4ae78539e8e21bb.jpg

Given that the first modern wristwatch is generally held to be a Cartier made in 1904 a Patek which predates it by 24 years will be priceless. We’re talking gazillions here.

I’m always amazed by how little some antique watches do go for, particularly pocket watches. I have one which belonged to my wife’s grandfather. Solid silver case hallmarked 1873 and working fusee chain movement with original key. Worth £50 on a good day.
