@Aramis2288

That Hublot is a classic, could be worn on any occasion - it’s only the footballer’s blingy ones that deserve pelters

Funny fact - I know a guy who worked for Hublot for many years. The first thing I asked him when I met him, was "why do you think Hublot is the most hated Swiss watch brand".

Surprisingly, according to him, no one in Hublot is really aware of that (maybe except for the people from marketing) and they couldn't care less what the watch nerds think or say online. Allegedly all these weird collaborations i.e. Hublot Big Bang Nespresso as well as the overly flashy abominations sell like hot chocolate.

No idea to whom, but perhaps to very rich lads who are not quite at the level of Richard Mile just yet....

Finally, my very 1st (gen) G-Shock, got it from eBay, completely new and from a reputable seller (they also have a watch shop), for the amazing price of 157€ shipped.

Bought yesterday afternoon, arrived from Salerno (800km far) this morning. What a service!

Nice piece, congrats! Since it's a quartz, it begs for a hydro mod, mate!

Who did the hydromod mate? Does it affect performance in anyway? Looks class.

Hydromod? Is it when you fill it with silicon oil?

These are some photos I found online but there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube and forums.

Based on a brief research I have done, it should not affect the performance of a quartz watch, but of course it would be worth digging deeper before attempting the mod.

Please note that this does not apply to mechanical movements. The only brand that managed to connect both oil and classic movement is Ressence, but that's a different cup of tea...

There are even watches come filled with oil out of the box, i.e. U-Bot.

And yes it not only looks pure class but also gives you some amazing viewing angles.

The only pain I can clearly foresee is exchanging the battery, but then it doesn't happen very often so probably it would be an issue.
