agntkerr 0 Posted July 11, 2011 Has anyone seen a swiss movement with a glued on overlay on the counterweight? look closely and it even extends over the edge. Note the crown and stem outside, it came out as I set the date the first time. Brand new from "trusty time" I know i know...stick to our TD's MOVEMENT: Swiss Eta 2836-2 Automatic Movement
Silverspeed 10 Posted July 11, 2011 Yes stickered rotors are fairly common. Rep factories will use whatever they have, engraved rotors on one batch and stickers on thenext

Luthier 1 Posted July 11, 2011 This is supposed to be gen swiss not clone, they do that to them also? Never seen such a cheap looking sticker on any ETA from Mary or Robert, and I have plenty from both. Well... trusty isn't worthy...
greg_r 83 Posted July 12, 2011 As has been said many times here, there are only a handful of dealers I would be confident about supplying gen Swiss movements when they say they will: Robert, Mary and BK being the main ones. Personally, I would consider it unwise to try and buy gen Swiss from most other dealers - half the time you'll get the clone anyhow, the rest of the time you'll get a Swiss movement that's either used or generally in poor condition. Most dealers have to rely on the factory description of what is being supplied - and the factories generally don't give a damn. Not worth the gamble IMO.
