gilrob 1 Posted October 27, 2023 Greetings Folks, I need to change a battery in a Parnis Daytona homage, model PA6048, with a 39mm case. Does anyone know the case back size for this particular model so I can purchase the correct tool die that will fit. Thanks in advance.
fatarms 7,777 Posted October 27, 2023 Try the cheap method first, make a small wad of duct tape and try using that by pressing it against the case back to see if you can unscrew it that way. Many times, case backs are not tight enough to require the die. Might be worth a shot to save yourself some money.
Rokerite 2,444 Posted October 27, 2023 Get something like this. Cheap as chips and gotten the back off any watch in my experience
Reacher01 9 Posted October 27, 2023 Just use a case opener ball. They cost like 5$ and for sure you'll use it again.
jhelper333 5 Posted January 22 Sometimes, just wearing rubber gloves or gloves with a grip coating on them is enough to coax the back loose. Don't take metal too it unless you have the die - it will undoubtedly leave a mark.
