SOC - Reps to gen journey complete!

Recommended Posts

As some of you old timers on here may remember I used to buy a lot of watches... A LOT, but eventually the path lead me to quality over quantity, plus the days of a superclone for a hundred quid were long gone.

I went through the San Martin phase, and bang for the buck you can't get anything better for your money, but that stopped scratching the itch so I decided to go full gen.

My gen box is now complete, for the time being, so I thought I'd post it on here!

(I also have the obligatory Casio box as of course they are "GOD TIER!"

Laco Flieger - £140 from Secret sales

Seagull 1963 - £94 from the recent Ali sale

Tag Heuer F1 Grande Alarm - Xmas present from the wife

Oris Big Pilot GMT - RRP is £2300, best I've seen here is £1900 but got it from Watchmaxx in the States for £1007.  This is what my big sell off a couple of months ago was for

Tissot PRC200 - first Xmas present from the wife

Hamilton PSR - £480 in Beaverbrooks sale and closet I'll get to a Bond watch

Tissot PRS516 - 40th present from the wife

Hamilton Jazzmaster Auto - wedding day present from the wife

Tissot PRX quartz Tiffany - £180 from TZ. Bracelet was. Bit scratched but soon brushed that out!

Raymond Weil Big Date - Xmas present from the wife

Tissot PRX full lume dial - £240 in Jura sale and got the gen blue rubber for £55 to keep the white rubber for the summer

Alpina Vintage Diver - remake of their 60s version. Grand and a half here but got it from a a liquidation stock seller in the States in eBay unboxed but with all the tags for £470

Not a bad selection I think. Got my 50th next year so I imagine something else may appear, and the wife did well so far, so maybe a steel diver next time.

Wow, what an impressive watch collection journey! The transition from reps to gen is quite the evolution. Your curated selection showcases diverse styles and brands, each with its unique story and sentiment. The personal touches like gifts from the wife add an extra layer of significance. Happy early 50th, and may the next addition to your collection be just as special!
