Pesman 9,461 Posted December 6, 2023 lol .. . can be said that we are a collection of people who have come together with a common motive for our interest in watches .. . buy, buy, buy .. . Since becoming unable to work. The realisation that what was once regarded as a hobby was actually closer to an addiction has somewhat taken the shine off and, a bit like some others, I now go through rampant periods of feast ( I've sold a gen) and famine (I bought how many??) Followed by guilt, remorse, M2M sell-off and repeat...(as you will shortly see when I upload some last remnants tomorrow). More interestingly the need to cut my somewhat meagre cloth accordingly has led me appreciate more about what it is i like about the hobby and it is definitely not brands. Thus has led me to the happy wonders of the homages which I now prefer to a rep. The quality for price is amazing and they make some simple but effective tweaks to designs....like the Samurai I'm wearing today..never did like Seiko hands Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk

dave47 6,539 Posted December 7, 2023 Hi, Group! Hope the day was a good one for all. I'm always thankful for just (still) being here! Today, a continuous wearing of this marvelous PARNIS GMT automatic I began wearing late last week; I still have it on the 'ole wrist; it's just that interesting for a watch. I was going to change watches every other day, but just never got around to it. dave:

I might start to think I had a disorder for buying watches . .. . buying those homages, microbrands & Rep's can quickly and easily get out of hand . .. ... but its all good fun . . . isn't it? Please reassure me Sir . ... . . . .. . . ... .. You, Sir, are VERY normal. What started out as a hobby turned into an obsession -- 100+ watches. dave

Redfire1066 11,132 Posted December 7, 2023 My first purchase from Netherlands based Serious Watches, ordered yesterday 11:11 GMT and delivered to Glasgow, Scotland 27 hours later by FEDEX. My photos do not do this Boldr Voyage Antartic dial and hands justice, on the wrist it looks fabulous with the petrol blue dial and those hands really pop. I wish I had taken some photos of the packaging, because the Boldr watch box aside . .. the packaging effort and detail from Serious Watches was exemplary, the best packaging I have ever received from a watch seller.

dave47 6,539 Posted December 8, 2023 Hi, Gang! It's PAMSDAY at this end of the Continental U.S. Time to wear one of the mysterious PAMS I have in my collection; mysterious because I don't recall the model numbers of some of them -- including this one. Dial is unique because it has "sunken" numbers/markers and a nifty leather strap. dave:
