New Week Wrist Check for 01 January 2024

HI, Gang! Hope you were able to survive both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day celebrations. Now, back to sobering reality!!  heh!

Today's ride is a continuation of yesterday's ride -- this STEELDIVER Submariner-style dive watch. An automatic, it's about flawless to me, with fantastic lume glow on both the dial and bezel; a real "sleeper" of a watch. dave (old pics.):

This PD Admirals Cup SM Homage seems appropriate for today....looks like I'll need a snorkel to walk the dog soon....nearly went in the recent M2M sale but for under £50 the level of quality and 100m WR and a great strap is amazing

Ironically, as I wait for delivery of an SD43 rep, I'll probably never even risk washing up with, I am wearing a cracking OceanX Sharkmaster homage that is genuinely WR1000 I also have a Cronos ibound that has been tested to 3000 ft..

Both for 50% less than the rep and 99% less than the gen!

But I'll love the rep and never want the gen!

SD43 has arrive...rather nice...removed Diver extension and popped a couple of links back in and it wears great. Will avoid London streets!

Thanks for asking. I know some are shitting on the mid-beat movement but really unless you put it on a timer, can you really tell with the naked eye? I can't.

So it's light, very light. And the straps are surprisingly good. I've had it on all afternoon and I really like it. Good legibility, and the fixed lugs are something to get used to but I really like it. I'm planning on getting a proper Marine Nationale strap for it and already found the NATO i got for it doesn't work, but a Perlon is fantastic. Only a few hours old but at this stage, this is one cool AF watch.
