Today the weather was miserable , so I decided to cheer myself up with a summer/beach watch . The Spinnaker Dumas Sahara 44mm diver, chunky monkey with great build quality. However the white on black date wheel is almost impossible to read and the Bezel is atrocious and almost impossible to move!!!!!

Just for comparison is the Spinnaker Dumas showing how a cushion case of 42mm is bigger that a 44mm (?)       The Dumas is resplendent on it's @TanGo strap

Mine is being delivered today, super excited.  This was my first rep ever in the time bomb 7750 version like 12 years ago   I told MR to grab one of the DD4130 Clean versions before they disappear.  Have a Deep crystal incoming as well for it.

Yeah Clean is a good basis for Frankening. But I can’t live with the stock CF dial and bezel.

Happy Monday, Folks! May the new week bring you joy and fulfillment!

For today, I lazily picked this Rolex "Pie Pan" automatic as my ride for the next day or two.  I kinda chose it because of its meaning to me: this was the watch an RWG mate sent to me after learning I got screwed out of a  watch that never arrived. The mate, a  UK member, felt both sorry and embarrassed for me that a UK mate was the scammer so sent me this watch (with an A2836 movement) as a kind of compensation. I was really floored by his generousity. I take it out now and then for some sunshine. dave:

Bremont Alt1-ZT WOS 22 of 30

Going nowhere...

Bremont have a new CEO and appear to be undergoing their 'Breitling ' rebrand moment... not sure for the best...Still feel like they're pushing their pricepoint

Just arrived

Vintage restored and serviced SEIKO SKX339 'Singapore '...

Nice mild patina and came with gen replacement bezel - although I'm loving the look of the original...
