nicholasmason 0 Posted October 30 (edited) Hello, I recently bought the seiko 5 automatic 7s26 0480, it loses around 30 seconds per day. Firstly, is that acceptable? And secondly, I heard there is that little arm or thing with plus/minus on the back, where you can adjust the accuracy, if I would send the watch to an expert, would that 30 seconds be able to be tuned down to maybe around +-5 seconds? slope game Edited November 28 by nicholasmason

Redfire1066 12,375 Posted October 30 I think the Seiko spec for the 7S26 is around +/-25 sec/day, but most I've come across do much better than that. If it is NOS they do seem to vary "out of the box" and take a month or so to settle down, after which +/-10 sec is not uncommon. With patience (and assuming the movement is in good condition, recently serviced, etc.), the 7S26 can be regulated down to +/-5 or even better.
