Seiko Skx009 running 2-3 seconds fast every minute

Hello,

My seiko diver is running extremely fast. I tried demagnetizing using a machine off Amazon that you pull the watch through . Adjusting the regulator and even the hitting the back of the case to free a potential caught hairspring. No luck. Any ideas?

This happened to my Samurai Prospex. I ended up sending it to Seiko for service under warranty. They replaced the hairspring among other things. No idea what happened but de-magnetizing didn't work for me either

Of course it is.  The NH35 is the unbranded version of the 4R35.  So its already a rep.   Why rep a $25 rep movement?

I have a Seiko SKX007 and a SKX009. The 009 runs like a dream and loses very little time for what it is.

However my SKX007 was much more erratic. I decided to sell it and bought a Seiko Turtle SRP 777 instead. It keeps very good time. I've bought a sapphire crystal for it when I can get round to fitting it!

ps I do agree that fitting a new movement would be a low cost fix - or send it to Spencer Klein!!!
