@OLDBLOKE74 … I like the way you put that  …  …. it is a sterling observation.

I bought a Tag Heuer box ( from Ebay) for a gen watch i was selling just to complete the set which i also mentioned in the listing and when it went to the authenticator they stopped the sale becuse of the box! I contacted Ebay regarding the box and said i had only bought it 2 weeks previously from them and they didint want to know, even the buyer contacted them to say he was happy with the complete package as id explained to him already. I had to resell the watch and boxset separately the the buyer! Now anyone can sell anything which is blatantly fake!

I bought two replica Canada Goose vests/gilets <-- had never heard that word before joining these forums... from Amazon about a month ago.  Had to search "goose gilet" to find them.  They were pretty sweet, but two different sizes (even though the tags were both XL.)  Gave the smaller one to my son, I couldn't breathe with it on.

Saw this the other day and thought nah can't be:

Rolex Daytona 116503 with 40mm Steel & Yellow Gold case and Black dial. Excel... | eBay

The model on the card doesn't match the watch model.

The rehaut between 12 & 3 is in the middle of nowhere

SEL doesn't sit flush with the case

1 pic to sell a 10k+ watch

Since the introduction of the authentication service, eBay has given up removing counterfeits.

Makes no sense and you have to pay 1500 and above for the authentication service to kick in.

Oris Aquis and some Tag Heuers are being hit badly with reps on eBay. I wouldn't touch them now. Unfortunate as pre-owned Oris are a cracking deal.

Indeed - if you saw this on EBay would you know it's only a £240 rep in a £40 box???

I bought a Tissot PRX of Ebay to see what all the fuss was about , when I tried to sell it on , some one pointed out the movement wasn't correct. Ebay took it back and refunded me.

Love everything about that watch. Beautiful intergrated strap and the textured dial.

I reported 3 Chinese sellers selling reps and got told that THEY could see nothing wrong with the sellers listings.
