Alan32 1,593 Posted May 15 Doing my bit for British watch making I bought this Duckworth Prestex Bolton chronograph, Love the two step "Porcelain" dial and blued hands. Not so keen on the VK64 movements 24 h dial.
OLDBLOKE74 11,236 Posted May 15 @Alan32 Can’t believe I have never heard of Duckworth watches … Just googled them - remember the old jewellery business and bought my wedding rings there about 40 years ago before I moved away from Bolton. Small world innit? So many good looking micro brands around these days - the watchmaking sector is changing al the time. I will definitely giving them some business very soon, the porcelain dial is cool for sure Meanwhile - much older more established brand GP , great quality watches - not worn this one for years, amazing what you find at the back of the cupboards. 25 years old watch and it looks like new

Daffy 183 Posted May 15 @splke Here is my latest pickup. A gen Omega that came from the factory with a licensed Bulova Tuning Fork movement. Smooth as buttah. Put it to your ear, and you will hear a hum at 300hz.

Because I have several that have a hacking function in addition to the smoothest second hand movement you've ever seen.
