ThinkBachs 1 Posted July 23, 2011 The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.50 mm Titanium Liquidmetal® Chronograph Its 45.50 mm case is made of grade 5 titanium. It means that this very lightweight element has been alloyed with small amounts of aluminium and vanadium and is particularly hard. It can also be polished to a brighter lustre than other grades of titanium. It has a striking blue ceramic bezel whose scaling and numbers are made of zirconium-based alloy called Liquidmetal®. OMEGA was the first watchmaker to blend ceramic and Liquidmetal® in 2009 when it released a limited edition Seamaster with a black ceramic dial and the unique alloy. The union of blue ceramics and Liquidmetal in the new Planet Ocean model is another world premiere. The hardness of the materials means that these two innovative materials will maintain their appearance indefinitely. The watch's stunning appearance is complemented by a lacquered blue dial. The extraordinary timepiece is presented on a blue integrated rubber strap that perfectly complements the blue ceramic bezel. It is also available with a titanium bracelet. The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.50 mm Titanium Liquidmetal® Chronograph is driven by the Co-Axial calibre 9300, the first chronograph in OMEGA's family of in-house movements described in greater detail elsewhere in this publication. It is equipped with a Si 14 silicon balance spring and the watch is offered with a full four-year warranty.

Crusader 0 Posted September 7, 2011 Interesting thing they posted on Facebook, the lume shot. Looks like it will be in 2 colors, never seen something like this before. At the center-right of page you have small ''Light on/off'' button that turns on light and shows the lume, nice inovation: http://www.omegawatches.com/gents/product-...-sea-visibility
g.man 0 Posted September 7, 2011 That's interesting. Anything to justify adding a grand to the prices eh? I've seen several of the new PO's in the flesh now and I have to say the black and the blue bezel models are nice, but the new orange bezel looks ghastly compared to it's older brother. Looked horribly cheap. Perhaps it'll grow on me. regards g.man

jeffw69 0 Posted November 10, 2011 That blue face with screw down pushers is the only one, that I'd buy.Yes, this one. I want this watch!!! I have heard the gen is running $10,500 usd and up. WTF? I don't think the rep will be anything close, if and when there is a rep. Wow, this is a watch that I would consider buying the gen!

WTF? I don't think the rep will be anything close, if and when there is a rep. Wow, this is a watch that I would consider buying the gen! The black chrono was $8k when I tried it on. Sadly, the watch is very very thick and is nearly unwearable.
jeffw69 0 Posted November 10, 2011 I may have to take a drive to the Omega boutique this weekend and try it on. I have a few thick watches, so I don't know that it will bother me much. Still $8K is quite a chunk of change. I wonder how Omega justifies this price? rep of this 1-2 years?
