AustinTech 0 Posted July 23, 2011 Anyone here use the app on Android? Does it show pictures and does it work for this forum?
houndoggie 58 Posted July 24, 2011 I use it on iPhone... I don't believe this forum is on it. It'll show pics and works pretty well, but no shout box fun.
AustinTech 0 Posted July 24, 2011 I guess that's ok, the no shoutbox thing, since this forum isn't on there.

czmilosz 0 Posted July 24, 2011 I use the stock browser on my Nexus S 4G. Works fine for me. I also use the stock browser on my rooted Nook Color and that works fine too.

torobravo 9 Posted September 18, 2011 No tapatalk for this forum?
Waipio Jeff 0 Posted September 18, 2011 I think tapatalk only works with Vbulletin format forums like RG, W-C, RWG and RWI. In other words, all of them except this one!
Pob 73 Posted September 18, 2011 Yes it doesn't work I talked to Greg about that and he said forim softwear can't work with tapatalk but that the new one will work with something even better, all we have to do is wait I like tapatalk and it works fine on my iphone4 but like someone said no chat! greg_r 82 Posted September 18, 2011 tapatalk is not compatible with the older version of Invision Power Board that we use (we're using v2.3.6, tapatalk only supports v3 and later, which is what RWGJr is using). For what it's worth, we're planning a major software upgrade at some point in the future. We've not done it prior to this point due to the fact that a: our old server wasn't really up to it and b: early releases of v3 were buggier than hell. However, there comes a point where security considerations and future-proofing make these things necessary - and it has to be said that recent releases of the board software have improved significantly. I'm currently testing the latest version of iPB and if all goes well with the testing, will consider upgrading the board late this year/early next. Tapatalk will then be a possibility (although there's also a dedicated iPB app that's even better and DOES support the shoutbox). Upgrading a board this size is a non-trivial matter, however, so don't expect it to happen quickly. Be warned also - the new software works very differently from the version we're using, so our distinctive themes (this one and the Xmas theme) will have to disappear...
