Member X 91 Posted July 27, 2009 lol What drives me mad is the fact that muppets bid it up and up and up with 3 or 4 days to go! WTF are you doing?? Leave it as Watched and not only will other people hopefully be put off bidding as it will appear not popular, but it means that it doesn't reach a stupid price! Gnargh!! greg_r 83 Posted July 27, 2009 Btw - if you're going to snipe, don't do it at an even figure. Lots of people bid at $40. I always bid at something like $40.73. Guess who wins?
houndoggie 58 Posted July 27, 2009 Okay... $40.74 it is!

Can't combine postage though and get two in one packet, bastards lol

Member X 91 Posted July 27, 2009 I'm watching the second on of those two! I intend to snipe at $40 about 20 seconds from the end (assuming the internet at the gym isn't shit slow ) as I think $50 with postage is about what I can afford. They go for a little less normally so fingers crossed... Do we reckon that's a good price?? Ok, this is already above $43 and there's still 5 minutes to go so feel free to go for it! I've already sniped once today so should be good now lol

JohnG 41 Posted July 28, 2009 Target destroyed @ $35.57 - that you JOhn? NO. The whole point of this thread is to alert other members of watches that are a good deal but that you WON'T bid on.... I thought someone might want it...

Member X 91 Posted July 28, 2009 There's someone doing sterile BPs on there with Superlume - the last one was too rich for me but I'll post it up when I find the next one!
phaedo 0 Posted July 28, 2009 http://cgi.ebay.com/46mm-Big-Pilot-Power-R...id=p3911.c0.m14 Might get in on one of these when there is a SS at a good price. Just a shame the seconds are at 9, and not center.
Member X 91 Posted July 29, 2009 (edited) Ok, I'm gonna snipe this one at $68.24! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/44mm-BIG-PILOT-STERI...emZ190324287797 If it goes above before it finishes, feel free to go for it EDIT: Sorry, scrub that - I'm sniping at $51.67 - around 70 bucks is including posting! lol Edited July 29, 2009 by Member X
Member X 91 Posted July 29, 2009 (edited) Sweeeet, target destroyed at $44.56 + $18.50 postage $63 is a good result, considering the last one went for $80 before postage!! EDIT: Now I just have to pray that the "Auto 6497" is actually either a half decent auto or a 6497... Edited July 29, 2009 by Member X
greg_r 83 Posted July 29, 2009 That'll almost certainly be a 6497 + translation error = damned good deal. He's a good seller - I've bought from him myself.

EDIT: Now I just have to pray that the "Auto 6497" is actually either a half decent auto or a 6497... Congrats! Good hunting. Guys, just so you know, there is a pinned thread at the top of this forum for notifying members of watches you WILL bid on, so that they don't bid against you. This thread is really for items you WON'T bid on but would like someone else to (because it is a good deal and you want a buddy to win it). If you don't want anyone bidding against you on an item, best to put it in the "Official... don't bid on my watch thread..." at the top of General Discussion. Oh, and the "auto 6497" is just an auto, not a 6497 at all (seller is using what is called "key word spamming") - I actually pm'd this guy a while ago about one watch, said, "is this auto or is it 6497?" - they are autos, he just puts 6497 in there so his watches show up in keyword searches that include "6497". Member X 91 Posted July 29, 2009 (edited) Ooh, cool - I wanted an auto really, so hopefully it will be alright Noted re: the pinned thread! You lot are a bad influence though! My plastic could have been cleared next month if you hadn't made me buy the Parnis and this one LOL Edited July 29, 2009 by Member X
