What does your wife/girlfriend think about your PAM´s?

Recommended Posts

To make it short, this is what my wife is thinking: "They´re all the same "

I was wearing my brand new built 114 and she said:" Ah, you´re wearing the white one today" I told her it´s not the same, the other one has a second at 9. She said: "can´t see any difference"

I love my wife, even if she doesn´t know what that 4th hand on her gen GMT Master is for :thumbsup2:

So what is your better half thinking about your Panerai´s???

Ha!

Just last night my wife and I had the following conversation about my Pam 328:

Her: "Why are you wearing that watch instead of your Rolex [GMT]?"

Me: "I think I like this one better."

Her: "Well, I think it's ugly."

She just doesn't get it ...

Her comment is legitimate for anyone who isn't really into the subtleties of PAMs. My wife hasn't said anything yet, probably because I've taken pains to buy only PAM reps that are markedly different. My next and possibly last one will be the Bronzo if it ever is repped. Of course, I've bought "my last rep" at least 3 times and that IS something my wife notices. Next question might be "How many times can you get away with telling DW 'This is my last rep' ?

No, she has a better taste than you.

:thumbsup2:

My g/f has 8 reps, and only one is 40mm PAM.

Mine doesn't wear a watch, and if she did, it would probably have to be pink ... Yeah .. That kind

Great!!!!

Girls are all the same, around the planet.

Mine even noticed the bracelet on my PAM. But she didn´t notice that I didn´t put a bracelet on the 111. I was wearing the 328

And Bosox: just sell a watch from time to time....she´ll notice that, too!!

I might agree, except that she married me ... ;)

Plus, she's been sporting a J12 the past two weeks, and she has the gall to call my Pam ugly?

She knows I would ask her why she needs one frickin gazillion shoes in her closet.... and she will invariably pick the most uncomfortable pair if a lot of walking is involved.

Furthermore, she's got this thing about buying a new dress for whatever next thing is coming up when she looks absolutely great in the last one she wore but god forbid someone will figure out she's wearing the same dress again. But I digress.

Likewise, I don't really need 2 dozen watches to tell what time it is, so we both accept. it's easier this way. :thumbsup2:

I think our conversations go along these lines when talking about my watches (Pam's included):

"Does it tell the time? So it's a watch like the others"

Just no appreciation

No question she'd notice if one were missing. Anyone who can spot an ant on the kitchen floor from 50 feet away will surely miss something as big as a watch LoL

I just compare my pams with her black shoes. She has at least a dozen pair, all look alike.

My wife got me the box and the 3rd strap from the left for my birthday. She gets it :dingleberry-nemesis:

Buy her $10 chinese shoes and ask - how it's different from yours?

My wife gets it - she likes the PAMs. She even has a favourite (Fiddy).

But then my wife is a classy dame
