Oh, and new strap suggestions would be appreciated. It's gotta be black though. Or really really dark blue to match the hands.

Another day another new watch... Actually, I have had this watch for a week or so but haven't worn it because I was waiting for my Navy Nato strap to come from IWI. I purchased this watch solely based on Harley357 great pictures of his on Nato. This is an Orient Big Mako (I guess)... It is about the same size a 45.5mm UPO, except maybe a little thicker. It is some Japanese automatic with a quick change day. I paid $125 for it and $8 for the strap. A heck of a daily beater/pool/dive watch.

I can see why you bought it... 45mm too - I may just pick one up - the brand/logo isn't offensive either like the penis watch

high beat?

Another nice little touch on this watch is that the case is completel polished even between the lugs where, normally, the endlinks cover the case. Not necessary to polish here, but it shows that some care was taken in making it.

ok doggie, Let's have that wristy - the more I look at it and consider the price... the more I want one - could be one of the best homage values yet - curious about the movement..

normally these watches are made around 40mm - but @ 45mm... something I can deal with... speaking of big watches - here's a hublot in a spruce tree ;) Rob comes through again

Hey, if the brand "Rolex" didn't exist, and someone put it on a homage it wouldn't sound MUCH worse than Parnis....

I mean, wtf is a "rolex"?
