greg_r 81 Posted September 15, 2009 That's a remarkably good question..... *makes mental note not to evaluate a watch until he's fully awake next time...* who swiped the hand?

houndoggie 58 Posted September 15, 2009 Now that's really nice for the price... Sigh. another one on my list.... Where's GMT hand??? Can't see it??? It is almost pointing to the 17. I have it set to 24h time.
greg_r 81 Posted September 15, 2009 ah - there it is. The pointer is visible but the actual hand has faded into the background. Trick of the light I guess - they're usually more visible than that. Still on my list

houndoggie 58 Posted September 24, 2009 New Benarus Moray Dart, bead blasted finish. 44mm case....hmmm. 24mm lugs.....ahhhh. I love those numbers. Miyota Automatic 500m WR. The watch came with a bracelet (very nice), a rubber strap, and a leather "turtle" strap, plus a dive clasp for the bracelet, 2 sets of lug bars, 2 screw drivers and a nice roll to hold it all. I also ordered a black bezel and convinced the dude to throw in an orange minute hand. I'll be having Speedy swap those for me. This is palani's dart, which mine will look like after the "mods:

houndoggie 58 Posted September 28, 2009 New Today: Tauchmeister 1000m automatic from ebay for $150 shipped via this dude: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/watchstore24de-USA__W0QQ_armrsZ1 Runs the Miyota 8215 automatic 46mm without crowns, though it doesnt' wear extremely large. Decent lume bezel turns very nice with buttery smooth clicks Good quality rubber strap... super long, could fit an elephant. (I had to cut about 1.5 inches off of it) Is it 1000m WR.. I dunno, but it is a very nice looking diver. I'll do a bigger pictorial tonight of it.
houndoggie 58 Posted September 28, 2009 Another new watch This one is a $199 Vostok-Europe Gaz Limo in PVD/polished stainless 43mm case (w/o crowns). Has a GMT hand that is not adjustable, but the internal 24 hour scale bezel is adjustable (very nice, it has stops on ever hour, so it stays). Movement is a 32 jewel Vostok automatic calibre 2426. Crystal in mineral and has decent AR. (crystal reflecting full on fluorescent light)
greg_r 81 Posted September 28, 2009 oh now that's REAL nice... There have been a couple of Vostok watches that have really grabbed me - and that's certainly another one
houndoggie 58 Posted September 28, 2009 Cheap Ass Invicta Pro Diver Automatic...$65 new (I put it on a PAM style rubber strap instead of the shitty bracelet). I kinda like it:

KBH 7 Posted September 29, 2009 Damn HD, nice watches but you need help brother! What??? I can't hear you over all the bubble wrap that keeps popping around me. PAMAGE 063 from PSOC purchase for $60. I highly recommend this, even at $100. Fully functioning GMT movement that "feels" solid. Nice heavy case. What's PSOC? And is that a hand wind? What movement? PSOC is PartonSaintofChainsaws. Auto movement. I believe he got his from Jackson Tse, Helenarou, or that Manbushie dude. Or not. I love it though. Best $60 I spent. Member X 91 Posted September 29, 2009 Damn you all with your new watches! Loving the Vostok HD, and I was eying up that first dive watch on ebay myself but they always finish too high. I'm hoping the job interview I went for today comes off as that would mean I have some spare pennies...

houndoggie 58 Posted September 30, 2009 Lum Tec M16 Automatic powered by a "vintage" Russian movement. 44mm/24mm size. Good Lume (lume shot later) I put it on my Benarus "turtle" strap and think it looks dashing.
AustinTech 0 Posted September 30, 2009 I'm diggin' it, HD. Is the lume any good? LOL
