PGL 0 Posted August 12, 2011 Hi all, I have found myself looking for a 24mm grey leather (black stitching) watch strap for one of my watches and the only one I have found that matches that description costs $220 which, for me, it is outrageous. I am not willing to pay that much money on a strap. So, do any of you have ever seen a strap that looks like this one?: If so, let me know where to check it out. Thanks guys! PS. If you have seen one with a regular s/s buckle instead of PVD it is not a problem... I can change it in a bit.
greg_r 83 Posted August 12, 2011 I seem to recall seeing something not unlike that at http://www.watchbandcenter.com/ Another company to check are sectime. You'll find their address on the trusted list at the bottom with a bunch of other strap and accessory vendors.
PGL 0 Posted August 12, 2011 Thanks Greg, those are my "go to" stores. I have been using them for ages now but they don't have straps like that one I am going to have to try make one myself (LOL that could result in a total disaster). I have bought a white one that looks awesome, maybe I can try to dye the leather into gray...
P4GTR 0 Posted August 12, 2011 I have some really nice full grain hide that might be what you're looking for. It's gray/brown/champagne. It's not a perfect colorwheel gray like the strap you posted, but you may like it. I figure a strap like this will run you under $70. If you wanted a new pvd pre-v buckle, it would be $15 more. The more I look at it, and wake up this morning, the more champagne it's starting to look.. Next to the pam catalog for comparo:
houndoggie 58 Posted August 12, 2011 Also, look up blueradish on homage forums, he makes straps like that and he is very reasonable in price.

Member X 91 Posted August 12, 2011 Check out this ebay seller as well - someone recommended them on one of the forums, from what I can remember, but he seems to do some nice stuff that's not silly priced! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/antique_leathers...m=&_ipg=

I feel like it is not what I am looking for though... looks very nice but I want something gray, gray... I had seen a modified watch I kind of want to try to have mine look as the one I saw... *fingers crossed* Check out this ebay seller as well - someone recommended them on one of the forums, from what I can remember, but he seems to do some nice stuff that's not silly priced! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/antique_leathers...m=&_ipg=200 Thanks! I was in his store this morning. I have bought from him sometimes and I know he used to have gray ones but doesn't anymore. A pity. Thanks Greg, those are my "go to" stores. Thanks Greg. I saw that one a while ago but I have that same strap in another color and I don't feel comfortable wearing it. In fact it is on the "unused straps" box among a dozen more LOL. Mine was too rigid... but if I don't find anything similar to what I want I would start looking through some blueish leather straps... some really resemble gray. MemberX toldme about homage forum and I signed up months ago but there must be a problem because I can't get in. Now I try to open another account and it says I can't because the Nick is already used by someone else (me) and if I change the nick it says my e-mail is already used for another account... frustrating!
