greg_r 82 Posted August 1, 2009 Nice Fiddy, but needes STERILIZATION AND VINTAGIZATION!!! NO IT DOESN'T!!! What I need is ANOTHER Fiddy or possibly a 217 - but a sterile one this time The fiddy isn't a vintage watch anyhow - it's a modern watch in the style of an older model, so would look weird vintageised... What I really want - and which CAN be vintageised is a 6514 - or something close to it. One of these days I shall have one - even if I have to build the damn thing myself. I want this case (which is basically a fiddy case without a CG): not necessarily that dial, though - I'd rather like a plain vintageised sandwich dial. + display back and an interesting movement (doesn't have to be the correct movement, but a nice old pocketwatch movement such as you're buying up would fit the bill nicely). Sterilized Parnis : Wow. A Watch with a vasectomy.... Looks good btw - probably a bit big for me, though
JohnG 41 Posted August 1, 2009 The Thousands of Feet looks great sterilzed.... And who cares if the Fiddy isn't old - that is the whole point of homages - they offer freedom baby, freedom from the establishment! Turn on, tune in, drop out baby!

There is a rep with that case: http://www.timeshops.net/PA1998_-_Panerai_...97_2714-519.htm But it is too much $$
Harley357 0 Posted August 2, 2009 My latest acquisition came in today's mail: 1970's diver style Orsa Monstrum.

The only other reps I've seen with that case have been a couple of vintage DSN models. DSN's case prices are a little OTT, but I'd pick one up for a future project if I could find it at a decent figure. Wearing this today:
JohnG 41 Posted August 2, 2009 Love the Orsa! Been wanting one for a while - but the blue dial is sold out...
Harley357 0 Posted August 2, 2009 Love the Orsa! Been wanting one for a while - but the blue dial is sold out... Thanks. Bought it on eBay directly from OrsaWatch in Canada. There were 3 left and I think the black ones might be all gone now. There are a few white face/orange listed.
AustinTech 0 Posted August 2, 2009 That Corum is mighty fine. Mighty fine indeed. I think I'm gonna sell this beauty, just doesn't get much wrist time. I'll wear it today and see how I feel.
